I am a conference interpreter, translator, and university lecturer in Conference Interpreting. I am a pre-candidate member of AIIC (International Association of Conference Interpreters) and a member of AITI and ANITI, two highly respected professional associations for interpreters and translators.
For years, I have been lending my voice to convey your message to and from Italian, English, and Spanish.
Based in Milan and Bergamo, I am also available to support you in other European cities and abroad.

I work with international clients and partners every day, translating and interpreting in multicultural settings across every continent. My training and reference accents are British English and Castilian Spanish, but my experience spans all major varieties of both languages. In this way, I am able to adapt tone, vocabulary, and register to suit any audience or context.
I know and use the main varieties of English — British, American, Australian, and Irish — and I tailor expressions and cultural nuances to match my client’s background or the target market.
I also move naturally between the main varieties of Spanish, from European to Latin American (from Spain, to Mexico, and Argentina), ensuring communication that is always authentic and precise, no matter the country.

How do you prepare for an event?
Preparation is the backbone of a successful assignment. We meticulously study all available resources; from slide decks and technical briefs to corporate websites and videos. We don’t claim to be experts in every field, which is why we conduct targeted, deep-dive research into your specific industry. This ensures we are fluent in your specialist terminology, whether it’s mechanics, engineering, logistics, technology, or any other niche sector.
Why do you need the list of participants and speakers?
To ensure everything runs smoothly. Knowing names in advance allows us to pronounce them with total confidence and accuracy, which is vital in international settings.
It’s a small detail that makes a significant impact; it demonstrates professional courtesy and ensures that every guest is treated with the respect they deserve.
Do you also study the speaker’s personal style?
Absolutely.
Whenever possible, we watch videos of the speakers to familiarise ourselves with their:
- Accent
- Pace and delivery
- Sentence structure
- Recurring personal or cultural references
This preparation ensures the interpretation feels natural and authentic, rather than stilted or forced, capturing the true essence of the speaker’s voice.
How many interpreters are needed for an event?
This depends on the duration and the type of service required.
For simultaneous interpreting:
- Up to 45 minutes (plus a 15-minute grace period): 1 interpreter.
Beyond 45 minutes: 2 interpreters are required. This allows us to manage the cognitive load and ensure consistent, high-quality delivery throughout the event.
What materials should I provide before the event?
Anything that provides context is incredibly valuable. This includes:
- Slide decks, PDFs, brochures, and white papers.
- Corporate websites and speaker videos.
- A detailed event agenda.
Even “work-in-progress” materials are useful; it is always better to have too much information than to have to improvise on the day.
Do you study both languages or just the target language?
I research the subject matter in both languages. This allows me to use the specific idioms and phrasing that a native speaker would naturally use in that context. This is what makes the interpretation sound fluid, credible, and effortless.
Does your professional service include an appropriate dress code?
Yes. An interpreter should blend in seamlessly; being present and attentive without becoming the centre of attention. We carefully choose our attire to match the tone of the event and reflect your brand’s professional positioning.
How can speakers help ensure the best possible results?
A few small considerations can make a world of difference to the final outcome:
- Providing materials in advance.
- Avoiding reading from a script (as written language and pace rarely translate well to live interpretation).
- Using a microphone at all times and keeping it steady.
- Limiting niche cultural or local references.
- Speaking in your native language whenever possible.
- Maintaining your natural flow. There is no need to slow down or alter your style.
Interpretation is at its most effective when the speaker is at their most authentic.
